Anthony Chen, February 1, 2017

On February 1, 2017, the Information Science Colloquium series welcomed Anthony Chen, a fifth-year PhD student in HCI in Carnegie Mellon's School of Computer Science. His research develops technical and design approaches to build novel human-computer interfaces that enhance users' physical interactivity with ubiquitous computers, or enable their creativity in fabricating physical objects of their design (e.g., using 3D printing). In his talk, Computational Design and Fabrication to Augment the Physical World, Chen highlights the computational design tools he developed that enable end-users to express and convey their ideas into fabrication-ready 3D models.
