Biography

Samir Passi joined Cornell University in 2013 as a PhD student in the Deaprtment of Information Science. His research interests lie primarily at the intersection of Information Science and Science and Technology Studies (STS). Before joining Cornell University, he worked as a researcher with the eHumanities group at the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences (Koninklijke Nederlandse Akademie van Wetenschappen) in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 

His academic experiences and research skills stem from the disciplines of STS and IT engineering. He completed his research masters in STS titled Cultures of Arts, Science and Technology (CAST) at Maastricht University, The Netherlands. As an undergraduate he has been trained as an engineer of ICT at Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology (DA-IICT), Gandhinagar, India.

Samir loves Pink Floyd, early morning drizzles, and meandering conversations.
