Biography

Hamish Tennent is a visiting researcher in the Information Science department at Cornell. His research focuses on designing and developing better experiences for interactive physical and digital products. The goal of his research is to better understand the multitude of ways in which people of all backgrounds percieve and understand differeing modalities of interaction.

With a background in Industrial design and Interaction design Hamish brings a design focus to the research process and works accross teams to help design and build robots, props and wizard-of-oz prototypes for research throughout the lab. Prior to joining Cornell, Hamish worked at Stanford university in the Centre for Design Research in HRI research focused on autonomous cars and embodied interaction design.
