Biography

Mark Matthews is a Marie Curie post-doctoral fellow with the Interaction Design Lab in the Information Science department at Cornell.  His research, at the intersection between Health (with a particular focus on Mental Health) and Human Computer Interaction, aims to find new ways to support mental wellbeing.

He is currently leading a 3 year project investigating the interplay between bipolar disorder and technology use. The ultimate goal is to develop tools that support the lifelong management of bipolar disorder and will build on understanding how people with bipolar disorder currently use technology and whether changes in their behavior, present in other aspects of their life during manic or depressive episodes, are present in their use of information technology.
