Haym Hirsh has been appointed the new dean of Computing and Information Science, to succeed Dan Huttenlocher, who has moved into his position as vice provost and founding dean of the Cornell NYC Tech campus. Hirsh is currently the chair of Rutgers University's computer science department and he has served as the director of the Division of Information and Intelligent Systems at the National Science Foundation. He received a BS in Math and Computer Science from UCLA and MS and PhD degrees in Computer Science from Stanford. We look forward to welcoming Haym Hirsh to Cornell and to the Faculty of Computing and Information Science.
