Public Spheres Student Project Launched

Michael Kaplan, an Information Science student here at Cornell University is conducting research on how people discuss topics online with others, to better build tools for online deliberation. He  built a prototype called Public Spheres - if you'd like to try it, go to http://thepublicspheres.com/index.php?rId=275&aIds[]=274 . Your activities on the website will be recorded but no identifying information will be collected and so there is no way to track you through your activities. All responses are confidential. There are no risks associated with your participation, and you may benefit from participating in a public online deliberation on important concepts. Your participation is voluntary and you may withdraw from this project at any time. Please contact Michael Kaplan at mak364@cornell.edu or the faculty supervisor Gilly Leshed at gl87@cornell.edu with any questions.

Go deliberate and enjoy!
