To all students admitted to the Cornell Information Science PhD Program,

On behalf of Cornell and the IS graduate student community, congratulations! Cornell is an excellent school, home to many enthusiastic researchers with diverse interests. We are excited to host you as you consider Cornell for your graduate studies.

This year Cornell's Admitted Student Visit Day will run for three days, starting Sunday, March 4th in Ithacaand concluding Wednesday, March 7th in New York City at our Cornell Tech campus. The key day is Monday, March 5th, with our full official program running from breakfast on Monday through lunch on Wednesday. Those visiting NYC will leave Ithaca on Tuesday afternoon. There will also be a few students and faculty from New York City in Ithaca on Tuesday and Wednesday. We would love for you to attend for as much time as you can so you can see more of graduate student life in Ithaca and NYC and have extra fun!

We recommend that everyone attend the Ithaca portion and arrive in Ithaca a day before, on Sunday, March 4th since Mondays program starts quite early. We also recommend those interested in an area of research covered by Cornell Tech faculty visit NYC. You can see a list of all IS faculty on both campuses on the department faculty page. Please let us know as soon as possible if you can come and which days you will attend, as visiting NYC requires extra travel and accommodation (arranged and paid for by Cornell).

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at phdvisitday at list.cs.cornell.edu.

We will continue to update this page and add more details as we finalize plans.

See you soon!
