Announcements
50% of a practice quiz grade is completion (did you make a good faith effort to complete the quiz) and the remaining 50% is correctness (did you answer the questions correctly).
Your current practice quiz 1 score in Canvas is only the correctness portion of your grade.
If there is a mistake with your practice quiz 1 score, submit a regrade request in Gradescope. Regrade requests are only for correcting grading mistakes. If there is no grading mistake, no points will be given. Submit all practice quiz 1 regrade requests by Wed Sep 16, 2026, 11:59pm. After that, no regrade requests will be accepted.
Note that I have to manually update the completion grade for practice quiz 1 in Canvas. I will do this after the regrade deadline for Practice Quiz 1 has passed (Wed Sep 16, 2026, 11:59pm). After that, you will see your final Practice Quiz 1 grade in Canvas.
Lastly, remember that the lowest practice quiz grade will be dropped, so if you did not do well on Practice Quiz 1, you can improve your grade by doing well on future quizzes.
Your current letter grade in Canvas is not representative of your final letter grade in the course. Preparation and Homework 1 currently accounts for nearly 100% of your grade in Canvas. However, all preparations and homeworks combined are only worth 10% of your final course grade at the end of semester.
