Cristiana Firullo is a PhD student in Information Science, with a primary research focus on examining the intricate interplay between social and policy dynamics within the realm of Digital Markets and Online Platforms. She is interested in online user behavior, particularly in the context of purchase decisions and privacy choices within the domains of e-commerce and social media. Through her research, Cristiana aims to shed light on whether digital environments allow for the discovery of decision-making processes with the ultimate goal of improving antitrust and consumer protection policies. Cristiana holds a BSc and MSc in Economics from Bocconi University (Milan, Italy) where she specialized in Industrial Organization and Behavioral Economics. Previously, Cristiana worked for Oxera Consulting LLP in Oxford (UK) where she was part of the Competition Economics center of excellence, advising digital clients in commercial disputes and antitrust cases in EU countries. Cristiana has also research experience at the Innocenzo Gasparini Institute for Economic Research (IGIER) at Bocconi University, where has worked on microeconomic models applied to digital platforms, and privacy-decision models applied to search engine markets.
