Johan Michalove

Johan Michalove

About

Johan is a first year PhD student in the Department of Information Science. His research investigates field robotic systems within their contexts, looking at how decisions in robot design influence wider systems robots exist within. Johan holds degrees in Computer Science (BS, MS) and Philosophy (BA) from the University of Washington (UW). He was previously a Researcher at the 3A Institute within the School of Cybernetics at the Australian National University, and helped establish the undergraduate computer ethics curriculum at the Paul G. Allen School at UW.

Areas of Interest: Design, Robotics, Cyber-Physical Systems, Cybernetics, Human-Robot Interaction
