About

Malte Ziewitz studies the changing role of data-driven technologies in establishing, maintaining, and subverting social order. An ethnographer and STS scholar, his recent work looked at the lived experience of credit scoring subjects, the search engine optimization (SEO) industry, and attempts at algorithmic regulation.
