Regrade Requests (Grading Mistakes)
If you believe that you received an incorrect grade due to a grading mistake, submit a regrade request.
Regrade requests are intended for correcting grading mistakes; regrade requests are not for lobbying for points. Your entire assignment will be regraded. It is possible to receive a lower grade than the original one you were given.
Follow these steps to submit a regrade request:
-
Email us your regrade request.

Tips:
- When writing, be respectful, thoughtful, and professional.
- Be brief and concise. (1-3 sentences) Bullet points are encouraged.
- Lengthy explanations beyond 3 sentences are ignored.
- Form and ground your argument based on ideas and principles presented in this course.
- Grades are earned based on performance, not effort; your grade will not be changed based on how hard you worked on the assignment.
- Claiming that something is unfair is generally a weak argument to justify a grading mistake.
-
Please be patient.
It usually takes us several weeks to respond to your request. Once we process it, we will leave a comment for the assignment in Canvas to notify you of the outcome. The result of the regrade request is final.
