Shiri Azenkot is an associate professor of information science at Cornell Tech, the Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science, the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute, and the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

Lawrence E. Blume is a professor of Information Science and serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs for Cornell Bowers. He is also Distinguished Arts & Sciences Professor of Economics. He is a Visiting Research Professor at IHS and a member of the external faculty at the Santa Fe Institute, where he has served as Co-Director of the Economics Program and on the Institute's steering committee. 

Cristobal Cheyre is an assistant professor of information science. His research focuses on the empirical and experimental analysis of the benefits and costs of emerging information technologies, with an emphasis on generating insights to inform policy and management decisions. He draws on his background as both an engineer and a social scientist to bridge the gap between technology, economics, and policy.

Tanzeem Choudhury is a Professor in Computing and Information Sciences at Cornell Tech and the Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science, where she holds the Roger and Joelle Burnell Chair in Integrated Health and Technology. At Cornell, Tanzeem directs the People-Aware Computing group and leads the Precision Behavioral Health Initiative, focused on advancing the future of technology-assisted well-being. Tanzeem co-founded HealthRhythms Inc, a company whose mission is to add the layer of behavioral health into all of healthcare. She is also the Senior Vice President of Digital Health at Optum Labs. Prior to Cornell, Tanzeem was an Assistant Professor in Computer Science at Dartmouth College. Tanzeem received her Ph.D. from the MIT Media Laboratory.

Sharlane Cleare is a lecturer of information science. Her research focuses on broadening STEM participation for underrepresented people of color by understanding how various learning experiences influence their intent to persist in STEM. 

Chris Csíkszentmihályi is an associate professor of information science, and an artist, occasional scholar, technology critic, and technologist. His research creates artistic and engineered sociotechnical systems to increase social justice and reconfigure power for the less served. His teaching helps orient and ground students for an ethical life in technology. Prior to joining Cornell in 2020, he was a European Research Area Chair in Portugal and founded the free/libre Rootio Project, a sociotechnical platform for community radio. Csíkszentmihályi has been a professor at universities in the USA and Europe: notably founding and directing the MIT Center for Future Civic Media (C4), dedicated to developing technologies that strengthen communities, and also the MIT Media Lab's Computing Culture group, creating unique media technologies for cultural and political applications. He has been a Radcliffe Fellow and a Rockefeller New Media Fellow, and has exhibited installations and performed on most continents. He currently sits on the board of the DATACTIVE ERC project at the Univerity of Amsterdam and the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Digital Civics at Newcastle University.

Cristian Danescu-Niculescu-Mizil is an associate professor of information science. His research aims at developing computational frameworks that can lead to a better understanding of human social behavior by unlocking the unprecedented potential of the large amounts of natural language data generated online. His awards and honors include a National Science Foundation CAREER Award, Google Research Faculty Award, and numerous Best Paper awards. His work has been featured in popular media outlets such as the New Scientist, NBC's The Today Show, NPR, BBC, WIRED, the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Washington Post. Nicola Dell is an associate professor of information science at Cornell Tech, the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute, and the Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science. She advises Ph.D. and M.S. students in the fields of information science and computer science.

Susan Fussell is a professor in the Departments of Information Science and Communication. Her research focuses on interpersonal communication in face-to-face and computer-mediated contexts. Her goals are to enhance our theoretical understanding of the mechanisms involved in conversational discourse and to apply this theory to the design and evaluation of new communications technologies. Fussell's current research areas include intercultural computer-mediated communication, multi-lingual communication, tools to promote energy-saving behavior, human-robot interaction, and collaborative intelligence analysis. With students and collaborators, she examines these issues within a variety of domains, using a combination of quantitative and qualitative research methods.

Paul Ginsparg is a professor of information science and physics. Among his many awards and honors, Ginsparg is a fellow of the MacArthur Foundation, the American Physical Society, the Alfred P. Sloane Foundation, and the Radcliffe Institute, and is a recipient of the Einstein Foundation Berlin Award and the Karl Taylor Compton Medal for Leadership in Physics. He is the founder of arXiv, the preeminent open-access, preprint repository. Ginsparg received an A.B. in physics from Harvard in 1977 and a Ph.D. in physics from Cornell in 1981. He joined the Cornell faculty in 2001. 

François Guimbretière is a professor of information science. Guimbretière's research explores how hardware/software co-design can deliver novel interactions in a broad set of application domains. Blending system building and design, Guimbretière and his students strive to turn future visions of seamless interactions into today’s reality. His prior work explored pen-based interfaces on paper and screen. He currently focuses on novel fabrication techniques, such as interactive printing and yarn-based fabrication. He is also interested in the intersection of HRI and sustainability, including the design of immersive and engaging remote collaboration interfaces that limit our reliance on physical travel. Kyle Harms teaches courses emphasizing programming and human-computer interaction, often with web technologies. He primarily focuses on classroom innovation at scale. His pedagogical approach incorporates active learning methods, motivating students with personal projects, and carefully integrating generative AI into the classroom.

Steve Jackson is a professor of information science and science & technology studies, with additional graduate field appointments in communication and public affairs. He is also the former chair of information science and former dean of William Keeton House. Since July 2023, he has also served as Vice Provost for Academic Innovation at Cornell.  

Thorsten Joachims is the Jacob Gould Schurman Professor of computer science and information science at Cornell University. He has also served as the interim dean for Cornell Bowers and as associate dean for research and as chair of the Department of Information Science. He is the director of the Cornell AI Initiative and Radical Collaboration. He has served as program chair of the ICML, KDD, and RecSys conferences, and he is a member of the IMLS Board and the SIGKDD Executive Committee. Thorsten Joachims joined Cornell in 2001 after finishing his Ph. D. as a student of Prof. Morik at the University of Dortmund, from where he also received a Diplom in computer science in 1997. 

Wendy Ju is a professor of information science at Cornell Tech, the Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science, the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute, and the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

Malte Jung is an associate professor of information science at Cornell University and the Nancy H. ’62 and Philip M. ’62 Young Sesquicentennial Faculty Fellow. He directs the Interplay Research Studio that explores the interplay between people and automation.

Rene Kizilcec is an associate professor of information science at Cornell, where he directs the Cornell Future of Learning Lab. Kizilcec studies behavioral, psychological, and computational aspects of technology in education to inform practices and policies that promote learning, equity, and academic and career success. His work has appeared in Science and the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, won multiple awards, and is funded by the National Science Foundation, Schmidt Futures Foundation, and Jacobs Foundation. Kizilcec holds a Ph.D. in communication and M.Sc. in statistics from Stanford University.

Jon Kleinberg is a professor in both computer science and information science. His research focuses on issues at the interface of networks and information, with an emphasis on the social and information networks that underpin the Web and other online media. His work has been supported by an NSF Career Award, an ONR Young Investigator Award, a MacArthur Foundation Fellowship, a Packard Foundation Fellowship, a Sloan Foundation Fellowship, and grants from Google, Yahoo!, and the NSF. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, the National Academy of Engineering, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the American Philosophical Society.

Allison Koenecke is an assistant professor of information science at Cornell Tech and the Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science. Her research on algorithmic fairness applies computational methods, such as machine learning and causal inference, to study societal inequities in domains from online services to public health.
