Farhana Shahid is a PhD student in Cornell Information Science working with Professor Aditya Vashistha. Her research focuses on understanding the perceptions and impacts of technologies in the Global South as well as designing interventions tailoring to the needs of people from underserved communities. She aims at working "with people" and "for people". Farhana did her Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
