Info Sci's Paul Ginsparg will be one of five boundary-breaking scientists to receive an honorary doctorate from Vrije Universiteit Brussel later this month. VUB has recognized Ginsparg – the creator of arXiv – as a pioneer in open access information distribution and will honor him during a ceremony on May 23. Among the other recipients are Jan Terlouw, Willem van Mechelen, Deirdre N. McCloskey and Gary T. Marx.
