Jose A. Guridi is a Ph.D. student in Information Science working in the intersection of technology policy and human-AI interaction. Jose is working on projects that study participatory processes and their effects on technology policy and, at the same time, how technology can shape how technology policy is developed. Before starting his Ph.D., Jose worked at the Chilean Government for almost four years, acquiring valuable practitioner experience, which includes being in charge of developing the Chilean Artificial Intelligence National Policy, enacted in 2021. During that time, Jose was part of the international discussion on AI policy, and he is still involved in projects related to Latin American AI policy.
