Our graduate programs emphasize career-readiness and project-based collaboration that pairs students with leading companies to solve real-world problems. While these programs share the same vision – to ready students for successful careers in information technology – each differs in its scope and intent. Master of Professional Studies (MPS)

Based at Cornell's Ithaca, NY, campus, the Master of Professional Studies, or MPS, in Information Science is uniquely tailored to offer students the option to craft their graduate school curriculum around one of four focus areas: user experience design, data science, interactive technology, and networks and markets. This program's critical project component pairs leading companies like Google, Verizon, and Microsoft Research with student teams, who then research, design and build functioning solutions for real-world implementation. MPS graduates are routinely hired as software engineers, UX designers, web designers and developers, technology analysts and consultants.

Connective Media (MS)

Connective Media is a dual master's degree in Information Systems and Applied Information Science offered through the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute. Based at the Cornell Tech campus in New York City, Connective Media is for human-centric tech professionals, scholars, and entrepreneurs who are passionate about the ways in which we use and interact with digital tools as well as the human and social impacts of their use. Connective Media students collaborate with real clients to build solutions; they develop their own companies at Tech's Startup Studio, and complete a specialization project of their choosing. Readied with strong technical skills and a deep understanding of the human aspects of technology, Connective Media graduates have gone on to work and succeed in industry as software developers, data scientists, startup founders, product managers, and technical UX specialists.

Health Tech (MS)

Health Tech is a dual master's degree in Information Systems and Applied Information Science offered through the Jacobs Technion-Cornell Institute. Based at the Cornell Tech campus in New York City, the dual master's degrees in Health Tech is intended for students hyper-focused on transforming healthcare through new digital technologies. This interdisciplinary curriculum fosters visionary students as they develop tech-driven solutions for real healthcare clients with real business needs in Cornell Tech's Product Studio program, create new businesses within Tech's Startup Studio, and complete a specialization project of their choosing. Graduates of this program have gone on to become founders of startup companies, software developers, data scientists, and product managers.
