Shannon is responsible for managing administrative tasks, coordinating communications, and facilitating the smooth operation of departmental activities and initiatives. Office: Gates Hall 236 Academic Year Schedule: On campus: Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Remote: Tuesday, Thursday.

Areas of Interest: computational sociology, language technology, NLP for social science, systems of evaluation, education, identity, AI
 

Seamus is the Student Services Assistant for the Department of Information Science. He works closely with both the MPS and Ph.D. programs on funding, processing appointments, administrative support, and prospective applications.

Olivia is the Assistant Director for the Information Science MPS Program. She works closely with MPS students to support them on their track to receiving their MPS degree

Areas of interest: Psychometrics, Value-Added Models, Measurement and Policy, K-12 Education Technology, and Entomology

Rebecca is the Career Services Advisor for the Department of Information Science in The Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science. She's here to support MPS students through the job search and decision-making process. She can help with resumes, cover letters, interviewing, networking, and anything else related to life after Cornell. Rebecca especially loves helping students prepare for interviews. Rebecca will be teaching the INFO 5905 Professional Career Development course this semester. Rebecca is remote Tuesday and Wednesday.


Background
Rebecca comes to Cornell after 13 years working at NYU in a variety of roles including career development and admissions. Prior to NYU, Rebecca spent a year teaching English in Japan and traveling and exploring Asia. She also studied in Spain for a semester in college. She still enjoys traveling & especially to destinations with good food. Recently returned to her hometown of Ithaca, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. On weekends during the winter, you will most likely find them on the ski slopes at Greek Peak.
