Job Description

Rebecca is the Professional Development Advisor for the Department of Information Science in The Cornell Ann S. Bowers College of Computing and Information Science. She’s here to support MPS students through the job search and decision-making process. She can help with resumes, cover letters, interviewing, networking, and anything else related to life after Cornell. Rebecca especially loves helping students prepare for interviews.

Rebecca will be teaching the INFO 5905 Professional Career Development course this semester.

Work Schedule Fall 2024 semester

Tuesday : 9 a.m.  – 4 p.m. Remote

Wednesday: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Remote

Thursday: 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. @ 522 Rhodes Hall

Background

Rebecca comes to Cornell after 13 years working at NYU in a variety of roles including career development and admissions. Prior to NYU, Rebecca spent a year teaching English in Japan and traveling and exploring Asia. She also studied in Spain for a semester in college. She still enjoys traveling – especially to destinations with good food. Recently returned to her hometown of Ithaca, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. On weekends during the winter, you will most likely find them on the ski slopes at Greek Peak.
