Cornell Research: Malte Jung on Building Better Teams with Robots

Malte Jung, associate professor of information science and the Nancy H. ’62 and Philip M. ’62 Young Sesquicentennial Faculty Fellow, has become a trailblazer in the study of humans and machines in group settings, according to a sweeping profile from Cornell Research.

“In graduate school and as a postdoc, I realized how much good design solutions depend on how well the designers and engineers interact with each other while they are designing something,” Jung said. “The interactions we have with others are so fundamental for our ability to accomplish anything. I believe for robots to be successful we need to design them with these interactions in mind.”
