Info Sci’s Solon Barocas lends his expertise on machine-learning ethics to the WNYC show, Note to Self. Recently, the program – “the tech show about being human” – has been educating its listeners on online privacy and encouraging them to be more proactive about safeguarding their digital selves. Barocas speaks to why our online privacy is essential, even if we feel we have nothing to hide, and discusses the need for online users to feel that “they are their own agents in the world."
