Each semester, Master of Professional Studies in Information Science students continue to redefine what a culminating project looks like. These student-designed projects are far more than strictly in-house assignments turned in for a grade and largely forgotten. Rather, MPS students are creating enduring real tech solutions for real companies and institutions, like exploring fraud detection in telecommunications for Verizon, evaluating Google's cloud machine-learning program, creating data visualizations for the United Way of Greater Cleveland, or redesigning a new course sign-up site for Cornell University.
These were some of the projects on display at the MPS semester-end poster session, held on May 8, 2017, in Gates Hall. Have a look at some of the projects from the event and learn more about our interdisciplinary MPS program, its vital project component and how it connects industry leaders with the next generation of innovators.
