A recent episode of The Talking Machines podcast – "Real Human Actions and Women in Machine Learning" – celebrated the 10th anniversary of the annual Women in Machine Learning meeting. Lillian Lee's keynote talk from the December 2015 event, "Is it all in the phrasing? Computational Explorations in how we say what we say, and why it matters", is covered in detail.
Also of note: Cornell Computer Science PhD student Maithra Raghu was a co-organizer of WiML 2015.
Lee's slides from her WiML 2015 talk are available here.
