Once again, scholars representing Cornell Information Science – from both the Ithaca and New York Tech campuses – have a stack of accepted papers at this year's ACM International Joint Conference of Pervasive and Ubiquitous Computing, better known as UbiComp 2016.
Among them is "EmotionCheck...", winner of the Best Paper Award, which is among five papers chosen from 481 submissions. When the conference begins on September 12, co-author and Info Sci PhD Jean Costa will be on-hand in Heidelberg, Germany, to present this award-winning paper.
Also, Info Sci's Tanzeem Choudhury, along with two coauthors, Jonathan Lester and Gaetano Borriello, picked up UbiComp's 10-year Impact Award for their paper from 2006, "A Practical Approach to Recognizing Physical Activities."
